Testing Second Entree Upcharge from Holland America
Say it ain’t so – but Holland America cruise line is now testing an “upcharge” of $10 to patrons who order a second entree in the main dining room.
If you’re like me, when you’re sailing – you’re SAILING … and often order a “sampling” of entrees, apps and desserts — YUM! The upcharge test is meant as a discouragement for those who order and waste food.
Those sailing on the Amsterdam, Eurodam, Oosterdam and Zuiderdam will notice this as an optional charge during the test period.
Holland America will be evaluating their testing data in early April and make a decision on how it will proceed moving forward.
