Royal Caribbean’s Harmony & Symphony Head to Mexico Due to TS. Karen
Royal Caribbean notified passengers aboard the Oasis class ships, Harmony of the Seas and Symphony of the Seas that their itinerary would be changing due to Tropical Storm Karen.

The original itineraries brought the sister ships into the eastern Caribbean, however due to the storm, the port of St. Thomas had been closed by the United States Coast Guard due to heavy winds and waves.
As such, Royal Caribbean decided to head towards the Western Caribbean including likely stops in Cozumel and Costa Maya if they follow the standard itinerary.
The Norwegian Breakaway is supposed to be sailing to San Juan, PR as well, however it may need to alter is course eastward to avoid the growing storm.
The port at St. Maarten is currently open, though depending upon the track of Karen, it may need to also close along with San Juan’s port.
Tropical Storm Karen is forecast to strengthen throughout the week and is predicted to head north through the Turk and Caicos and may have impact in the Bahamas or Florida.
