Over this past weekend, Royal Caribbean continued to expand its “Perfect Day at CocoCay” features by giving guests access to Splashaway Bay and Skippers Grill.

The “Perfect Day at CocoCay” is a $200 million upgrade to Royal Caribbean’s private island, announced in March of last year.

While the official opening of Perfect Day at CocoCay is scheduled for May, Royal Caribbean has been slowly “soft” opening attractions as they become available. Last month, the Caribbean’s largest freshwater pool opened.

The Splashaway Bay and Skipper’s Grill are located close to the entry of the island, close to the pier.

A complimentary attraction for kids on CocoCay, Splashaway Bay, is also available on several Royal Caribbean ships. Included in Splashaway Bay are a variety of large “dump buckets”, straight and twisty slides that kids will love!

Skipper’s Grill also opened; which is an option for dining on CocoCay. Available is a selection of snacks, drinks and lunch options.

Lastly, and very exciting (at least for this author) is that Royal Caribbean has FINALLY extended the Voom Internet access to the island at no additional charge for guests who have already purchased Voom on their cruise.
