Royal Caribbean announced today that it plans to keep the Quantum of the Seas for an additional season in Singapore until at least April of 2021.
The announcement by Royal Caribbean was made during the arrival of the Spectrum of the Seas, their newest ship.
Royal Caribbean plans to use both Quantum of the Seas and Spectrum of the Seas in the Asia market for 2019 and into 2020. Reservations for the 2020 and 2021 season will become available for sale the first week of June, 2019.
The announcement comes as Royal Caribbean begins to ramp-up presence in Asia, with Singapore becoming a major hub for the cruise line.
The Quantum of the Seas, Royal Caribbean’s first “smart ship” includes two “North Star” observation capsules – that rise a hair raising 180 feet above the ocean; Bionic Bar, where robots prepare cocktails; and SeaPlex, the largest indoor play-place at sea.
