Norwegian Cruise Line Christens the NCL Encore, Largest Cruise Ship

Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest and largest cruise ship, the NCL Encore, was christened at PortMiami, the cruise capital of the world.

Kelly Clarkson, a Grammy award winning artist and talk show host, was honored as being the godmother of the Encore.

The NCL Encore is the cruise line’s fourth and final Breakaway class ship and features nearly 30 dining venues and has, on the top deck, the longest go-kart track at sea.

World class entertainment is aboard featuring the Tony award winning musical, “Kinky Boots” among other popular passenger favorites including “Happy Hour Prohibition” and “The Choir of Man.”

Dining on the ship includes Teppanyaki, a Japanese hibachi experience, the venerable Cagney’s steakhouse, and the newest venue, Onda by Scarpetta – an Italian cuisine restaurant.

The NCL Encore will be homeport in Miami, sailing 7-night cruises through the Caribbean for the remainder of 2019 and 2020 season, then will reposition to New York for the summer of 2020 and is scheduled to sail in Alaska for 2021.
