NCL Joy Headed to Alaska
The Norwegian Joy departed from a drydock in Singapore on its way to the US West Coast for its inaugural Alaska cruise season.
The ship, about a year and a half old, had previously sailed in the Chinese market until March of this year when it entered drydock for a retrofit to become “Westernized.”
As the ship sails from China to the West Coast of the US, contractors will continue renovations, including new guest shows “Footloose”, aerial acrobatics show, Elements and Wine Lovers: The Musical a comedy about wine tasting.
The Norwegian Joy is of their Breakaway Plus class was built in 2017 and features a guest capacity of 3804. Additionally, it features the Joy Speedway, a two level go-kart race track.
