NCL Escape – 115 MPH Wind Gusts “Lists Ship” to Side

The Norwegian Escape was slammed by a wind gust estimated at 115mph around midnight on Sunday, March 2nd. Several passengers were injured due to ship listing nearly 45-degrees. The cruise ship departed New York heading to Bahamas.

Damage was everywhere as seen by photos located on Twitter.

The Escape has a capacity of nearly 4200 passengers and 1700 crew members according to the NCL.com website.

Aside from broken windows, NCL stated there was no additional damage to the ship.
