MSC Cruise Line Gives Compensation for Delayed Opening of Private Island

The family owned MSC Cruise Line announced that it will be giving guests aboard three of their cruise ships compensation due to a delayed opening of their new private island in the Bahamas.

The Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve was scheduled to open this weekend, however, due to unforeseen operational issues the cruise line was forced to delay its opening.

The three cruise ships, the MSC Seaside, MSC Meraviglia and MSC Armonia were due to port on November 9, 10 and 11th respectively.

As compensation for the missed port call, MSC Cruise Line is issuing the affected guests a $100 in on-ship credit along with a 20% future cruise credit. The future cruise credit will be based on the fare paid on the guests current cruise, good toward a future cruise.
