Disney Wonder to Home Port in Big Easy after Refurbishment
Fans of the “Princess and the Frog” will rejoice with the news from Disney Cruise Line that the “Disney Wonder” will see a new homeport in New Orleans in February 2020, following a significant refurbishment!

As part of the refurbishment, the “Wonder” will see a new lounge area called the “French Quarter Lounge” which is inspired by the Disney film, “The Princess and the Frog.”
The new lounge will compliment the restaurant, Tiana’s Place and show passengers New Orleans experiences like a life-sized trolley car, jazz music, themed activities and, of course, character meet and greets!
A new coffee shop, Cove Cafe, will also be added which will offer speciality coffee and tea during the day. In the evening, Cove Cafe will flip into an adult venue featuring cocktails, wine and snacks. Wine and beer tastings will also be offered for an additional fee in this new location.
For the teens, a brand new “Club Vibe” will feature a coffee bar, large space for meeting with friends made aboard the “Disney Wonder” and gaming areas including virtual reality (VR) — only for teens (NO PARENTS ALLOWED!).
The new venues will debut starting in late September, 2019 sailings.
The Disney Wonder is part of the Disney Cruise Line and is a sister ship to the Disney Magic. The Wonder entered service in 1999 and has a passenger capacity of 2,400.
