Disney & Port Canaveral Sign New 20-Year Engagement

Disney Cruise Line fans rejoice! Port Canaveral and Disney Cruise Line will continue to work together for another 20-years.

The new agreement will officially start on June 1, 2019 and include Disney expanding operations for two of the cruise lines three new ships. Additionally, the new agreement provides two additional 5-year extensions for use of the terminals and port.

Disney and Port authorities have also announced several land and water-side improvements to Terminal 8 and 10 to accommodate further growth of the cruise line as new ships are readied.

As part of the new agreement, Disney Cruise Line will have exclusive access to Terminal-8 and access to Terminal-10 allowing for a third home-port ship.

New Disney Cruise Line ships, which are yet to be named, are to be delivered in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

The new agreement continues the existing relationship between Disney Cruise Line and Port Canaveral since 1994.

Port Canaveral currently home-ports Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy all year long. The Disney Magic and Wonder randomly home-port in Port Canaveral and also move between various other ports in the US and Europe.
