Cruise Calls Increase to Dominica
Officials in Dominica are looking for more cruise calls after the devastating 2017 hurricane season nearly wiped out the port and mass areas of the island nation.

The Celebrity Summit started it cruise season this past October 30th, making up to 176 calls through 2019, however more cruise lines are starting to reconsider making calls to Dominica after major improvements to infrastructure are completed.
The lush forested island is considering building a new cruise port and part of something local officials are creating call “Cruise Village.”
The island is also upgrading its excursions for passengers with family fun tours including river tubing and kayaking, jeep tours and more.
This appears to be a mindful transformation to ensure that when cruise lines do start making call to the port, passengers will have a fantastic time learning about the culture, history and attractions on the island nation.
