Celebrity Cruise Line Does Away with Beverage Package Fee
In October, Celebrity Cruise Line began charging a small fee for the “Beverage Package Perk” — one of their main selling advantages — where cruise passengers can get “up to 5 free perks.”

The rationale why the cruise line started to include a surcharge of $14 per day was due to the increased cost for the beverage service.
However after reviewing passenger feedback, the cruise line announced today that as of December 17th, the additional fee will be waived.
Guests who have already been charged the additional fee may request to be repriced for the beverage package, or receive a free upgrade to the Premium Beverage package for their sailing.
For guests who paid to upgrade for extra perks and already purchased the Premium Beverage Package between October-10 and November-26, an onboard credit of $14 per day will be applied.
