

Carnival Commits $350,000 for Red Cross Supporting Australian Fire Relief
Carnival Cruise Line has committed $350,000 to help assist the Red Cross in supporting Australian’s from the massive brush fires.

The deadline fires are spread across much of Australia and are impacting many cruise lines operating in the Australian region.
Carnival Corp, which operates five cruise lines including Carnival, P&O, Princess, Cunard and Holland America are directly affected by the fires.
The contribution has been made in addition to the $50,000 which had been provided by both P&O Cruises Australia and its guests. That amount was provided in late December supporting Aussies affected by the brushfires in New South Whales and Queensland.
As of this writing, there have been 24 deaths from the brushfires and thousands directly impacted by the devastation. Air quality in major cities including Sydney are impacted with smoke.
