Amsterdam, starting on April 1st will be banning all tours of its Red Light District – an effort to curb congestion and to show respect for the city’s sex workers. Tours of the city’s Red Light District are popular adult excursions offered by many cruise lines and independent tour operators.

Initially starting in April, guides must end tours by 7PM. The full ban will go into effect January 2020. Additionally, the city is placing limits on the size of tour groups, with a maximum of 15 participants.
