One of the worlds largest cruise ships, the Allure of the Seas from Royal Caribbean is set to enter a 58-day drydock refurbishment.
The Oasis class cruise ship will enter dry dock for a massive $165 million in updates! The upgrade is part of Royal Caribbean’s “Royal Amplified” program which is a $1 billion fleet wide upgrade.
Nearly every area of the ship will be updated and new features will be added too!
Major updates to the Allure of the Seas will include:
Aquapark upgrades including Splashaway Bay with three waterslides, water cannons, drench buckets and the “Splash Pad” for the little ones.
The largest, tallest, biggest, baddest slide at sea, the 10-story Ultimate Abyss along with The Perfect Storm which includes three waterslides.
Teen only spaces including a new outdoor deck area. Clash for the Crystal City, a glow in the dark laser tag area and newly created escape room Apollo 18: Lunar Landing.
New restaurants including Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen and Wine Bar, and a new barbecue venue called Portside BBQ.
New bars including the pool side favorite, The Lime & Coconut and the robotic Bionic Bar by Makr Shakr. For sports fans, Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade will also be added and El Loco Fresh for lovers of tacos!
After the renovation, the Allure of the Seas will include a 7-night itinerary through the Western Mediterranean with home port in Barcelona, Spain. In November 2020, the winter season will begin where the Allure will homeport in Miami and sail Western Caribbean cruises along with stops at Royal Caribbean’s newly completed Perfect Day at Coco Cay.
The Allure of the Seas is one of Royal Caribbean’s largest Oasis class ships with a capacity of over 5,400 guests.
